Accommodations

This superb 10,000 square foot Chateau built over different periods from the 16th to the 19th century is embellished with a 15-acre park including 10 acres of forest classified as a “protected site”, and a small pond for fishing. From the castle, you can enjoy a superb view of the Jura mountains.

A pedestrian and cycle path takes you in 5 minutes to the village of Cuisery (all shops) from the entrance of the property. Tournus, the gastronomic capital of Southern Burgundy with its Michelin-starred restaurants is only 7 km away.

The place is ideal for jogging, walking, horse riding, and cycling from the Château. The Seille river is a few hundred meters away and offers a cycle route as well as water activities (canoe rental, fishing boat, etc.).

A complete Wellness area with a gym (weight training and cardio), sauna, and hammam, as well as a massage room (a local masseuse offers her services on site), are available in the Château.

 Travel Details

US Citizens traveling to France need a current passport. Check the expiration date to make sure that it does not expire within 6 months of your trip. As of Spring 2025, Electronic Visas are expected to be required for US citizens seeking European entry. Stay up to date by clicking HERE.

Flying into France

The easiest way to reach Chateau Montrevost is to fly to Paris. From there, you have 2 options:

1. Rent a car and drive directly to the Chateau. Driving in France is as easy as driving in the US. The highways are well marked, and Google Maps will take you right to the front door. If you are traveling with another person, you may even find that this is a less expensive option than multiple round-trip train tickets. In my opinion, this is the best option since it gives you the most flexibility to tour the countryside during our week at the Chateau. The drive is also LOVELY!

2. Regular trains run from Paris to Tournus. The price of a one-way ticket runs between 40 and 70 Euro, and it takes about 4 hours to transit. If you choose this option, I will help to arrange a taxi for your pick up at the station and transport to the Chateau.

You can purchase train tickets in advance HERE.

Please note that we will not have access to the Chateau until 3pm, so plan your travel and arrival accordingly.
Our first gathering will take place at 6pm.

We understand that booking transportation can be daunting! Don't let that stop you from fulfilling a travel dream! Sheila is more than happy to guide you through the travel booking process if you need help. Simply email sheila@johnscreekyoga.com with any questions or concerns.
